Taking lessons with Steve has been the best decision. He is very knowledgeable and insightful. He provided great tips and tricks after pinpointing my errors. All the adjustments made I’ve noticed a big difference. Posture, stance, grip, swing are key points to focus on…game changer!…”focus on the swing, not the ball”… Steve is highly recommended for lessons.

I've golfed twice a month for the past 15 years and I can't break 90. I've never had lessons and decided to try out Steve and Southern California Golf Schools. In one session, Steve helped me realize my swing path and clubface were not in alignment. After 15-20 minutes of working on my club path, I was hitting 90% of my shots with a slight draw to them. I can't wait for the next lesson. I would recommend Steve and California Golf Schools to anyone considering taking lessons.

I've been playing golf (badly) for over 40 years. I truly enjoy the game, the open space, and camaraderie. Last Christmas, my wife and nephew got me 3 lessons with Steve. Now, to be clear, I've had other lessons over the years, but they were "cookie cutter" lessons that I'm sure worked for some people. Just not me.

Steve started by just watching my swing for a good long time. Then, he altered my grip, stance, ball position, wrists, swing plane, timing, stroke, finish, everything. And he explained why.
I now can hit the ball straight and long, with all my clubs. Steve is a genius.

We've had about 8 lessons with Steve and just finished our playing lesson today. Steve is a very knowledgeable instructor, and we felt confident learning from him right from the first lesson. He not only taught, but showed us and demonstrated to us firsthand. He also gave us great drills and tips to improve and also get out of our head. He definitely gave us confidence so we highly recommend getting lessons from him!

I have been wanting to take a golf lesson for a while now, after doing some research I came across Steve @ SoCal Golf Schools and decided to give him a try after reading his excellent reviews. Today was my first lesson and it went great!! He watched me take a few swings and then started to make some small adjustments to my grip, posture, stance & ball positioning. He explained to me what I was doing wrong and what changes we need to work on to keep a consistent swing. Before today, I had no idea where the ball could be going each swing. After today's lesson was over, I was consistently hitting a nice draw about 25 yards further than I ever have!! Steve gave me a few tips / drills to work on until my lesson next month. If you are looking to make a positive change in your game I suggest booking a lesson with Steve, you will not be disappointed. I look forward to taking what I've learned today and using it at the range & on the course soon!!

All the right tools with great explanation and instant feedback to get you on track. Not knowing what to expect and constantly feeling frustrated after a round of golf I took a leap and decided to look up lessons. Well nothing felt more natural then todays first lesson. Steve used simple but effective tools to get me swinging the correct way. Great coaching approach and his years of experience really improve your game almost instantly. I've played for years with the guys on random weekends, constantly picking up advise and tips that had led to bad habits and technique. I felt an instant change in body mechanics and swing with Steve on the practice range. Looking forward to the next lessons.

I've been playing golf on and off for quite a few years. Although I've been able to hit a good shot here and there, consistency has been extremely difficult for me. Well... that's over now. After one session with Steve, I was hitting balls consistently straight for the first time in my life. It was awesome. I still have some work to do, but I've finally found a path to success. Steve is great... he's cool, patient, and definitely knows his stuff. He will tell you that he's just passing along information, but in my opinion, he's doing much more than that. YouTube passes along information, but Steve is able to recognize your issues and tailor his instruction to YOUR specific needs. Give him a shot, you'll be happy you did.

Steve is an amazing instructor. No BS straight forward and teaches you common sense golf. I did a 3 hour lesson with Steve and he worked on my driver , irons , chipping and putting. I went from huge slice across the the body to even hitting draws!! After the lessons I went to a small par 3 course near my house my previous scores there were a +26, +21, +20 and a best score of +19. Today I came and shot a +13 with 9 pars and 6 up and downs Just using the techniques I learned from Steve!! Highly recommend!!

Had my first golf lesson with Steve Bean today.
I've been playing golf a long time and just wasn't getting better. In fact, I was playing worst
Thought it's probably time to take some lessons if I was going to improve and start enjoying golf again
Steve could immediately see what I was doing wrong and started to rebuild my grip and swing
After the very first lesson I was hitting my irons further, higher and straighter than before with a little bit of a draw.

Finding a good golf instructor is tougher than finding a good dentist!

I found Steve Bean and he is simply a great golf instructor. Stoked!
Just after a a few months of working with Steve my understanding of golf swing mechanics and, more importantly, my golf game has improved tremendously both in terms of quality and consistency. Going from a high handicapper to lower - mid handicapper in hurry!
Steve's professionalism and ability to communicate and teach is solid...and he's a great guy! Very calm, fun and progressive in his style. Now here's the bonus. His rates are very fair. His whole program is the best golf instruction quality and value you will find anywhere.
If your looking to improve your game, I highly recommend booking a lesson with Steve. This guy knows his stuff.

I am an experienced golfer over 10 years. Always struggled with over the top swing and outside in swing. Studied myself but never understood how to get inside out swing consistent.

Steve taught me a simple method, and I was able to hit draw shots in 30mins. His method and teaching was very simple to perform and understand.

I believe Steve can simplify your swing so you can perform under stress.

First lesson was taken today. I am intermediate golfer. My expectations were met! Golf is tough, mainly because I make it harder than it is. Steve was able to identify my bad swing habits after seeing me take a couple swings (my way). Steve uses video to show you what the body/club are doing during the swing. With that, Steve was able to help me adjust my swing to be "more" proper. I can't wait for my next lesson.

In one session Steve had corrected most of the flaws in my golf swing. He used current technology combined with experience to demonstrate how to correct my bad habits. The rest is up to me but Steve did a great job helping me understand and put into action a string golf swing. I highly recommend.

Great big shoutout to Steve, I've been playing golf for 30 years and was a ok golfer handicap was anywhere between 18 - 13, meet Steve at Jurupa Valley golf club and decided to take a few lessons and so glad I did, just shot my first ever round in 70's, 76 to be exact, before Steve I was a high 80's and only after 3 lessons I started shooting in the low 80's on a regular basis, can't say enough about how patient he was and able to explain it so I understood it, THANK YOU Steve.

Steve is a great teacher! Very patient and descriptive/specific in the changes that he feels would benefit your game. I was brand new to the world of golf so we started from the very basics (I did the five lesson package) but he was super encouraging. I feel like i was given practical things to work on when i went home and will continue to build on the skills he taught me.
